‘Of Places and Journeys’ and a joint show in Delhi

Born in 1987, Bharti Verma has had an aptitude for drawing and painting since childhood. She has already won several awards and won scholarships, and has recently completed her MFA at the Delhi College of Art. Having already participated in several artist camps and college shows, she has a keen interest  in different art forms, reflecting her keenness to experiment.

The artist states, “My work revolves around the basic theme of ‘dream world’. I always attempt to paint these dreams into reality. For me my dreams are just another reflection of the reality around us .It can be about my mind, silence, people, society, good and evil, achievement, serenity, bliss, passion - all these dreams become a part of my artworks and are greatly inspired by Dali and his Surrealism. Artists like Rameshwar Broota, Bharti Kher,  Anish Kapoor also influence me as their unique style of expressing thoughts in the paintings they create is truly remarkable.”

Born in 1987, Aditi Aggarwal is another artist who is showcasing her works along with Bharti Verma  as part of a joint show at Art Heritage in New Delhi. In a short span of time, she has given ample proof of her talent, impressing both art lovers and critics.

Meanwhile, a group show, entitled ‘Of Places and Journeys’ take place at Vadehra Art Gallery in the capital city of India. Habitual landscapes are presented in novel ways and unknown places turn familiar in this selection of works from the gallery. As an accompanying note elaborates, the collection is a one - way ticket, so to say, to many exotic places and the corner of our neighborhood streets through a wide array of mediums - photography, painting, drawing and video among others.

A bunch of talented artists like Annu Matthew, Arpita Singh, Ashim Purkayastha, Atul Bhalla and others, who excel in these domains, present the best of their art, making it a must watch show.
